- Running reasonably long distances. I am a lapsed member of Great Western Runners. I used to spend quite a bit of time running races between 5k and half-marathon, and I was moderately quick. But that was then. Now I just trundle round for something between half an hour and a couple of hours three times a week and hope to keep injury at bay.
- Painting and drawing. I have spent a bit of time at art college. I paint (enthusiastically, but not particularly well) mostly in acrylics.
- I am a member of Zenshindojo, although at the moment for various reasons I am semi-lapsed. I have been a member since 2001 and I am currently a karate 1st dan. The club has venues around Bristol. New members always welcome!
- Drinking far too much coffee (whether working or not)
